Classes begin Monday, January 7, 2019 and run from 8 AM to 3 PM. You will have a lunch break during which you may purchase your lunch at the nearby Stamp Student Union or elsewhere if you choose.
Registration fee: $850 for the lecture only option (price quote includes costs of the recommended texts) or $700 if you do not need to purchase any recommended texts.
Included in this fee are the following lecture topics to be covered in 6 hours per day of illustrated lectures:
Principles of IPM, Program Implementation, Monitoring Techniques, Insect Control, Borers, Scale Insects, Mites, Defoliators, Stipplers, Disease Control, Diagnosing Soil Problems, Immature Insects, Identification, Alternative Pesticides, Biological Control, Business Aspects of IPM.
Also included in this fee are the following resource materials:
The latest editions of Diseases of Trees and Shrubs by Sinclair, Lyon, and Johnson ($72.00) and Insects that Feed on Trees and Shrubs by Johnson and Lyon ($72.00)
The latest edition of Landscape IPM by Davidson and Raupp.
Advanced Landscape Plant IPM PHC Short Course Syllabus.

Registration for the Lecture Only option will be limited to the first 75 applications received with payment.
* If you already have one or all of the texts offered, your registration fee will be $700 plus the price of each text you need (see above for prices).
LECTURE AND LAB
Classes begin Monday, January 7, 2019 and run from 8 AM to 3 PM. You will have a lunch break in which you may purchase your lunch at the nearby "The Stamp" student union or elsewhere if you choose.
Registration fee:Cost $1,180 for the lecture/lab option (price quote includes cost of recommended texts) or $1,030 if you do not need to purchase any of the recommended texts..
Included in this fee all of the lectures noted above plus the following:
Instructions in the use of the stereo microscope
Two or more hours per day of lab work identifying pests and damage from preserved specimens
Registration for the Lecture and Lab option will be limited to the first 26 applications received with payment.

For a refund, cancellation notices must be received no later than Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Your cancelled check is your receipt. Prior to the course, we will send you an e-mail confirming your registration and providing you with important course details.
The University of Maryland, College Park will be closed December 24, 2018 - January 1, 2019. You will not be able to contact us during this period. You can contact us through December 21, 2018 and after January 2, 2019.
